We are often asked by guests visiting our Inn about the story of John Spicer and the Spicer Castle. This book is a true accounting of John Spicer, the pioneer who enjoyed life and the people he met along the way.
My grandmother, Eunice Spicer Latham, (John's youngest child), sat down on the beach at Spicer Castle with her father in his later years and chronicled interesting and humorous recollections of a pioneer.
